Set in contemporary London, this drama follows several people whose lives unfold within a few streets of one another. Max, a former England rugby captain, has let his fame and womanising cost him his marriage to Emily, and he now tries to win her back while her attention drifts elsewhere. Elsewhere in the city, a taxi driver named George and his wife Kathy are pursuing an adoption, but a serious accident involving George throws their plans and their marriage into doubt. A third thread follows Kingsley, a low-level drug dealer doing community service who meets a retired actor, Terence, and begins to imagine a way out of the street life he has been leading.
The film is directed by Jim O'Hanlon, the first of four features he has made to date, and was written by Leon Butler. Its producers include Idris Elba and Pippa Cross. Elba leads the cast as Max, with Gemma Arterton as Emily, Franz Drameh as Kingsley and Kierston Wareing as Kathy; twenty-three performers are credited in all. Made on a budget of around three million dollars, it earned a modest reception: users rate it 5.8 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 4,700 votes and 6 out of 10 on TMDB from a much smaller sample, while critics were less positive, giving it 4.9 out of 10 across 39 reviews.
