Nightmare Code

Nightmare Code is a 2014 American horror, science fiction and thriller film about a programmer who has been developing a classified surveillance system and commits a murder. A well-known coder with troubles of his own then moves into the startup's offices, tasked with working out what went wrong and finishing the product. The further he goes into the code, the more it seems to take on a threatening life of its own, placing him at the centre of the conflict.

The film was directed by Mark Netter, who wrote the screenplay with M.J. Rotondi and also produced it through Dark Program Productions. Andrew J. West plays Brett Desmond, with Meiling Melançon as Nora Huntsman, Googy Gress as Foster Cotton, Ivan Shaw as Alex Chou, Nicholas Guest as Ronald Dumaurier and Caitlyn Folley as Jennifer Desmond. Twenty-one cast members are credited in total.

Nightmare Code runs 90 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5 out of 10 from 301 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 4.2 out of 10 from 20 votes. The two audience scores are low and drawn from a small number of voters, with the TMDB sample considerably smaller than the IMDb one.
