Short description
Set in mid-1950s Liverpool, this drama follows the early life of John Lennon. Raised by his strict Aunt Mimi, the rebellious teenager eventually reconnects with his spirited mother, Julia. While Mimi pushes for a traditional path, Julia introduces her son to the banjo and the emerging world of rock and roll. As John navigates the tension between these two influential women and faces a sudden family tragedy, he finds solace in music and forms a bond with a fellow musician, Paul McCartney, leading to the creation of his first band.
