Monpura

Monpura is a romantic drama about a poor young man whose life is upended by the betrayal and conspiracies of his wealthy employer. After taking the blame for a crime committed by the landlord's son to protect the mentally ill man, he is sent to Monpura island, where he meets a fisherman's daughter.

The film was directed and written by Giasuddin Selim, who also served as a producer alongside Anjan Chowdhury Pintu. This was the first film in a series of works by Selim, followed by Swapnajaal, Love Stories, Kajolrekha, and Pother Pechal. The movie features a cast including Chanchal Chowdhury as Sonai, Farhana Mili as Pori, Mamunur Rashid as Gazi Shaheb, Monir Khan Shimul as Halim, and Dilara Zaman as Dadi.
