Chocolate City

Michael is a college student from a poor neighborhood who helps his mother make ends meet and is also trying to keep his girlfriend happy. When his wages stop covering the bills, he takes a job as a dancer at a male strip club under the name "Sexy Chocolate," and he quickly becomes a favorite with the club's crowd. The money improves his situation, but he has to keep the nature of his new work hidden from his mother and his girlfriend.

Chocolate City is a 2015 American drama written and directed by Jean-Claude La Marre, who also produced it with Michael Mendelsohn. Robert Ri'chard leads as Michael, with Vivica A. Fox and DeRay Davis as Katherine and Chris McCoy, and Michael Jai White, Tyson Beckford and Darrin Henson among the dancers. The film runs 91 minutes.

It earned a 4 out of 10 on IMDb from about 1,300 votes and a 5.2 out of 10 on TMDB from roughly 40 votes, figures that point to a modest, mixed response from the small audiences recording them.
