Short description
Café Society follows Bobby Dorfman, a young man from New York who leaves his family behind in the 1930s and heads to Los Angeles. His uncle Phil Stern is a powerful talent agent in Hollywood, but has little time for his nephew, so Bobby is left in the company of Phil's secretary, Vonnie. Bobby falls for her, though she is involved with another man, and the film traces what happens as his hopes for both a career in the movie business and a life with Vonnie take shape against the backdrop of Hollywood glamour and New York café society.
