• This is the world's first full-length animated feature film completely painted in oil on canvas. A team of 100 artists created each of the 62,450 frames in oil on canvas using the same technique employed by Van Gogh himself.
• The animated film consists of 65,000 frames, each of which is an oil painting on canvas in the style of Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890). The paintings were created by a team of 100 artists.
• The film was animated using rotoscoping. A live-action film with real actors was shot, and then each frame was colored and animated. The actors and filming locations before coloring are shown during the end credits.
