The Healer

Alec Bailey is a man whose life is in disarray until he moves to Nova Scotia for a year. After opening an electronics repair shop, the local residents mistake his business name for a medical vocation, believing he possesses supernatural healing powers. Although he is initially skeptical of these claims, Alec discovers he has inherited a generational gift for curing illness. He forms a bond with a teenager battling cancer, who encourages him to embrace his abilities and find a new sense of purpose.

Written and directed by Paco Arango, this was the first of two films he directed. The movie is a Spanish and Canadian co-production starring Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Camilla Luddington, Kaitlyn Bernard, and Jonathan Pryce. The cast includes 21 credited performers.
