Summer Storm

Tobi and Achim are lifelong friends and leading members of a rowing club. While preparing for a regional regatta at a summer camp, Tobi realizes his feelings for Achim extend beyond friendship, especially as Achim grows closer to a teammate named Sandra. The arrival of an openly gay athletic team from Berlin further confuses Tobi, forcing him and his peers to confront their internal fears and prejudices. As the competition nears, emotional tensions rise alongside a literal storm threatening the lake.

The film was directed by Marco Kreuzpaintner, marking the first of four films he directed, followed by Trade, Krabat, and The Collini Case.
