No Man's Land

Benjy Taylor is a young Los Angeles police officer with a passion for sports cars. To investigate a series of vehicle thefts and a related police death, Taylor goes undercover to infiltrate a gang led by the wealthy Ted Varrick. As he works alongside Varrick, Taylor becomes enamored with the high-speed lifestyle and begins a romantic relationship with Varrick's sister. However, the officer finds himself struggling to maintain his professional boundaries as he discovers that the gang leader is responsible for crimes far more serious than theft.

Directed by Peter Werner, this 1987 action crime drama follows his earlier works, Aunt Mary and Barn Burning. The film features a cast including D.B. Sweeney, Charlie Sheen, Lara Harris, Randy Quaid, Bill Duke, and R. D. Call, with a screenplay written by Dick Wolf.
