Mine

Fabio Guaglione and Fabio Resinaro wrote and directed Mine, a war thriller about an American soldier named Mike, played by Armie Hammer. Sent into the desert on an assassination mission, Mike survives the operation only to find himself alone in hostile terrain. While crossing a minefield, he steps on a pressure-triggered landmine and becomes unable to move without setting it off. Stranded with no cover, he must endure heat, dehydration, sandstorms and wildlife while waiting for help that may not arrive, and he also has to hold his own fear and despair in check. Annabelle Wallis, Tom Cullen, Geoff Bell, Juliet Aubrey and Clint Dyer appear in supporting roles. The film was produced by Peter Safran and shot as a co-production between Spain, Italy and the United States.

Mine was the first feature directed by Guaglione and Resinaro, who had previously worked together on the screenplay, and it was followed by their 2019 film DolceRoma. It runs 107 minutes and was made for a budget of 15 million dollars, but its worldwide theatrical returns came to roughly 2 million, a small fraction of its cost. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.8 from about 23,000 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 6.6 from around 1,367 votes. A critics' score of 4 out of 10 across 31 reviews places it below both of those audience figures.
