The Intervention

Four couples gather for a weekend getaway that is secretly designed as an intervention. The trip was organized by friends and family to confront one couple about their failing marriage and encourage them to consider divorce. As the group attempts to address these relationship issues through various activities, the forced honesty leads to the emergence of long-standing problems among all the participants. The situation eventually results in unexpected emotional revelations and the formation of new bonds.

The film was written and directed by Clea DuVall, who also appears in the cast as Jessie. This was the first of two films she directed, followed by Happiest Season in 2020. The ensemble cast includes Natasha Lyonne, Cobie Smulders, Melanie Lynskey, Jason Ritter, and Ben Schwartz. Produced by Burn Later Productions in the United States, the comedy-drama has a runtime of 90 minutes.
