Chris owns a nightclub and owes a large sum to a ruthless loan shark, who demands payment within days. Desperate to settle the debt, Chris joins a celebrity death pool run by a friend, where participants bet on which famous person will die first and the winner takes a substantial cash prize. Chris picks 1980s television star David Hasselhoff, but rather than wait for fate to take its course, he decides to go after the actor himself. Hasselhoff, playing a version of himself, proves far harder to eliminate than Chris expected.
Killing Hasselhoff is a 2017 American comedy directed by Darren Grant, his third feature after Diary of a Mad Black Woman and Make It Happen. Peter Hoare wrote the screenplay, and the film was produced by Ashok Amritraj, Warren Zide and Michele Berk through Hyde Park Films, WWE Studios and Lotus Pictures. Ken Jeong leads the cast as Chris, with Carlos PenaVega, Jon Lovitz and Rhys Darby in supporting roles, and Justin Bieber providing the voice of K.I.T.T. Thirty-one performers receive credits.
The film runs 81 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.5 out of 10 from around 3,000 votes, and on TMDB it also sits at 4.5 out of 10, from about 125 votes. The two audience scores match closely, and the small vote counts on both platforms indicate limited viewership.
