Tallulah

Tallulah is a young drifter who lives out of her van and takes pride in a frugal but independent life. A chance encounter with a baby whose mother, Carolyn, a well-off Beverly Hills housewife, is careless about her child stirs in Tallulah the impulse to step in. Carolyn, struggling and unable to find anyone to look after the baby, hands the infant over to a stranger, and Tallulah ends up passing the child off as her own. With nowhere else to turn, she seeks out Margo, the mother of her former boyfriend, who comes to believe she is the baby's grandmother. The three women's lives become entangled as the situation grows more complicated than any of them intended.

The film was directed by Siân Heder, who also wrote the screenplay, marking her first feature in the directing credits listed for her, ahead of CODA (2021) and Being Heumann (2026). The cast is led by Elliot Page as Tallulah, Allison Janney as Margo, Tammy Blanchard as Carolyn, Evan Jonigkeit as Nico, Uzo Aduba as Louisa Kinnie and David Zayas as Detective Richards, among 31 credited performers. Chris Columbus, Todd Traina and Russell Levine produced the film, which runs 111 minutes.

On IMDb, Tallulah holds a rating of 6.9/10 from 55 critics' reviews, placing it slightly above the audience score of 6.7/10 on TMDB from 773 votes, a sign of modest but comparable reactions from both viewers and critics to this low-key comedy drama.
