Secret Things follows two young women in Paris who lose their jobs at a striptease club on the same night. Nathalie, a seasoned stripper, and Sandrine, a barmaid, form a quick friendship. Sandrine, the more innocent of the two, learns from Nathalie how to use sexuality as a tool for getting ahead. Together they set out to climb the social ladder, taking jobs at a large bank, where they use their charms to gain influence over their superiors. Their scheme runs into difficulty when Christophe, the owner's son and the future head of the company, enters the picture and imposes his own rules on the game.
Jean-Claude Brisseau directed and wrote the film, which was released in 2002 and runs 115 minutes. It is his second directorial effort in the chronological list beginning with White Wedding in 1989. The cast includes Coralie Revel as Nathalie, Sabrina Seyvecou as Sandrine, Roger Miremont as Delacroix and Fabrice Deville as Christophe, with Blandine Bury and Olivier Soler in supporting roles. Jean-François Geneix produced.
On IMDb the film holds a rating of 6 out of 10 from around 5,700 votes, while TMDB shows 5.8 out of 10 from about 118 votes. A critics' rating of 5.8 out of 10 from 50 reviews places professional reception roughly level with the audience score on TMDB.
