Suntan

Kostis is a doctor in his forties who moves to the Greek island of Antiparos to run a local clinic. After a lonely winter, the arrival of summer brings a surge of young international tourists and a culture of hedonism. Kostis becomes infatuated with a nineteen-year-old woman named Anna and begins spending his time partying and drinking to impress her and her friends. What starts as an attempt to reclaim his youth eventually turns into an obsession as he tries to keep Anna by his side.

This comedy-drama was directed by Argyris Papadimitropoulos, who also served as a producer and co-writer alongside Syllas Tzoumerkas. It was the first of two films directed by Papadimitropoulos, followed by Monday in 2021. The movie stars Makis Papadimitriou as Kostis and Elli Tringou as Anna, with a supporting cast that includes Hara Kotsali, Milou Van Groesen, Dimi Hart, and Marcus Collen.
