Framed

Ron Lewis is a gambler who is imprisoned after being implicated in the death of a police officer. Following several years behind bars, he returns to seek retribution against the people responsible for his wrongful conviction and the corruption within the legal system. He works to uncover the truth behind the conspiracy that led to his incarceration.

Directed by Phil Karlson, this film followed his 1973 project Walking Tall in his career. The movie stars Joe Don Baker as Ron Lewis and Conny Van Dyke as Susan Barrett, with a credited cast of 24 actors including Gabriel Dell, John Marley, Brock Peters, and John Larch. Produced by Paramount from a screenplay by Mort Briskin, the action thriller had a worldwide box office return of 2 million USD.
