Short description

Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore is a 2010 family comedy that mixes live action with computer animation and animatronic animals. Longstanding enemies cats and dogs must set aside their rivalry when a rogue feline threatens both sides. Kitty Galore, a former agent of a cat spy organization, has gone her own way and hatched a plan that would let her dominate the dogs and turn on her former cat colleagues. With humans also at risk, the two species form an unlikely agent team to stop her.

The film was directed by Brad Peyton, his first feature, followed later by Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, San Andreas, Incarnate, Rampage and Atlas. Steve Bencich and Ron J. Friedman wrote the screenplay, and Andrew Lazar and Polly Johnsen produced. The voice cast includes James Marsden as Diggs, Nick Nolte as Butch, Christina Applegate as Catherine, Katt Williams as Seamus, Bette Midler as Kitty Galore and Neil Patrick Harris as Lou.

Produced by Warner Bros. Pictures with Village Roadshow Pictures and Mad Chance, the film had a budget of about 85 million US dollars and took in roughly 112 million worldwide, a modest return against its cost. Audiences were unenthusiastic: it holds a rating of 4.3 out of 10 on IMDb from nearly 16,000 votes and 5.2 out of 10 on TMDB from about 700 votes, while a critics' rating of 3.8 out of 10 from 99 reviews is below even the audience scores.

What's left behind the scenes
