Handsome: A Netflix Mystery Movie

Gene Handsome is a Los Angeles homicide detective whose gift for closing cases is undercut by his inability to sort out his own life. With his partner, Fleur Scozzari, he works a murder investigation that points toward a local actor and a possible affair involving the victim. The case gives the disorganized detective a chance to do the one thing he does well, even as everything outside the job stays unresolved.

The 2017 comedy is directed by Jeff Garlin, who also stars as Gene and wrote the screenplay with Andrea Seigel. It is one of the films Garlin has directed following I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With. Natasha Lyonne plays Fleur, with Christine Woods, Steven Weber, Amy Sedaris and Eddie Pepitone among the supporting cast, in a production credited to 48 cast members and 40 crew.
