Veronica Simon is a psychiatrist married to a politician running for the Senate. While her husband is occupied with his campaign, she begins a brief romantic encounter with a young sculptor named Victor. Although Veronica views the relationship as a temporary distraction, Victor becomes obsessed with her. He begins to insert himself into her private life, creating a dangerous situation that threatens her marriage and the safety of her family.

The film was directed by John Stewart Muller, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Laura Boersma. This project followed his 2008 film Fling. The cast features Mira Sorvino in the lead role, alongside Cary Elwes and Christopher Backus. The production involved a credited crew of 51 people and a cast of 35.
