RE:BORN

Toshiro is a former special forces soldier living a quiet life in a small Japanese town. While attempting to move past his violent history, he is forced back into conflict when assassins from his past arrive. The situation escalates when a young girl close to him is kidnapped, prompting Toshiro to use his lethal combat skills to protect her and fight through a squad of killers.

Directed by Yuji Shimomura, this film marks the first of three directed works listed in his career, followed by Crazy Samurai Musashi and The Living Dragon. The screenplay was written by Tak Sakaguchi, Benio Saeki, and Sion Sono.
