Short description

Kadamban is an Indian action film set in Kadambavanam, a village deep inside a dense forest whose people live by gathering honey and follow the ways of their ancestors. Their quiet life is threatened when the limestone lying under their land draws the attention of outsiders who want them gone. When gentler attempts to clear the village meet resistance, the newcomers turn to harsher tactics, throwing the community into turmoil. The story centres on Kadamban, played by Arya, and Radhi, played by Catherine Tresa, as the villagers face what comes next.

The film was directed by N. Ragavan, working from a screenplay by Karundhel Rajesh, and produced by R. B. Choudary for Super Good Films. It runs 138 minutes. It is the only title in the filmography facts given for Ragavan's career, so it cannot be placed in relation to other films he made.

Reception was mixed. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.4 out of 10 from 559 votes, a modest score suggesting a limited and divided response. On TMDB the rating is 7 out of 10, but from only 13 votes, a figure far too small to carry real weight and one that largely reflects a handful of enthusiastic viewers rather than broad agreement.
