Gemini

Gemini follows Jill LeBeau, the personal assistant to Heather Anderson, a rising Hollywood actress in Los Angeles. Jill handles the demands of her employer's career, from smoothing over meetings with a temperamental director to keeping photographers at a distance. After a violent crime disrupts their already strained relationship, Jill sets out across the city to uncover what happened, staying ahead of a determined police detective as she reconsiders her ideas about friendship, truth and fame. Lola Kirke plays Jill, with Zoë Kravitz as Heather, John Cho as Detective Edward Ahn, and supporting turns from Greta Lee, Michelle Forbes and Ricki Lake.

Aaron Katz directed and wrote the film, his second feature after Land Ho! in 2014. Adele Romanski, Mynette Louie and Sara Murphy produced the crime drama, which runs 93 minutes and was released in June 2017.

Reception was mixed. On IMDb it holds 5.4 out of 10 from roughly 5,900 votes, and on TMDB it also sits at 5.4 out of 10, from 152 votes. A critics' rating of 6.1 out of 10 from 82 reviews places professional response somewhat above the audience scores, which cluster lower across both platforms.
