The Swap

Based on a book by Megan Shull, this comedy focuses on two high school students, Ellie and Jack, who deal with significant pressure in their respective sports. Ellie is a rhythmic gymnast facing a critical competition, while Jack struggles to meet his father's expectations and earn a spot on his school's hockey team. After an exchange of messages regarding their difficult lives, the two teenagers unexpectedly swap bodies. They must navigate each other's social and athletic challenges just as their most important sporting events approach.

The TV movie was produced in the United States by Original Pictures and MarVista Entertainment, with a screenplay written by Charlie Shahnaian and Shari Simpson. It was co-directed by Jay Karas and Ron Oliver. For Karas, this was the second of three listed films, following Break Point. For Oliver, it was the fifth in a sequence of thirteen works, appearing between Mostly Ghostly 3: One Night in Doom House and The Christmas Train. The film stars Peyton List and Jacob Bertrand, with supporting roles played by Darrin Rose, Claire Rankin, Callan Potter, and Jesse Bostick.
