Red Nose Day Actually

Red Nose Day Actually is a short comedy-romance television film that returns to the characters of Love Actually more than a decade later. Through a series of encounters among people across Britain, it revisits several of the figures from the earlier story and offers a glimpse of where their lives have gone since. The cast reunites much of the original ensemble, including Hugh Grant as the Prime Minister, Liam Neeson as Daniel, Colin Firth as Jamie, Laura Linney as Sarah, Andrew Lincoln as Mark and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Peter.

The film was directed by Mat Whitecross, working from a screenplay by Richard Curtis, who had written and directed Love Actually in 2003. It followed Whitecross's Spike Island and Supersonic, and came before Idols in his filmography; for Curtis, it came after his earlier features Love Actually, The Boat That Rocked and About Time. Fiona Neilson produced, and it was made by BBC Film, Portobello Studios and NBC Productions with a budget of four million dollars.
