Inseparables

Felipe, a wealthy businessman left quadriplegic after an accident, is searching for someone to assist him with daily life. Candidates with proper qualifications come forward, yet he settles on Tito, the gardener's helper who is about to leave his job and has no training in caregiving. Those closest to Felipe, including Verónica and the housekeeper Ivonne, question the choice, but he stands by it. What sets Tito apart is that he is the first person in a long time who does not treat Felipe with pity, and the arrangement gradually changes both men. The film is an Argentine remake of the French comedy-drama Intouchables.

Marcos Carnevale directed and co-wrote the screenplay with Éric Toledano and Olivier Nakache, the writers behind the original French film. Oscar Martínez plays Felipe and Rodrigo de la Serna plays Tito, with Alejandra Flechner, Carla Peterson, Flavia Palmiero and Rita Pauls in supporting roles. The production involved INCAA, Telefe, Cine Argentino and Argentina Sono Film, and it runs 108 minutes.

Released in August 2016, the film took in about 2 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds a 6.7 rating from roughly 1,500 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.3 from a much smaller base of 83 votes, so the higher figure rests on limited input. In Carnevale's filmography it is the earliest of the titles listed, preceding All Hail, Goyo, The Heart Knows and The Giant Falls.
