Daddy's Home 2

Daddy's Home 2 continues the story of Brad and Dusty, two men who once competed for the same family and have since settled into an uneasy partnership. Brad is married to Dusty's former wife, Sara, and together the two men share the work of raising her children. Their arrangement holds until the holidays, when their own fathers arrive: Dusty's father is a tough, old-fashioned man, while Brad's is gentler and more sentimental than his son. The visit turns the family's Christmas plans into chaos, and when circumstances change, the group heads to a resort, where the trip becomes a comic free-for-all.

Sean Anders directed and wrote the screenplay with John Morris, returning after the 2015 original. It was his fifth feature as director, following Sex Drive, That's My Boy, Horrible Bosses 2 and Daddy's Home, and preceding Instant Family. Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg reprise their roles as Brad and Dusty, with Mel Gibson as Dusty's father, John Lithgow as Brad's father, Linda Cardellini as Sara and Alessandra Ambrosio as Karen. Ferrell produced alongside Adam McKay. The film cost about 69 million dollars and earned roughly 181 million worldwide.

Critics were unimpressed, giving the film 4 out of 10 across 128 reviews, while audiences were more receptive, rating it 6.3 out of 10 on TMDB from around 2,800 votes and 6.3 on IMDb from a much larger base.
