Swashbuckler

Set in the Caribbean during the early eighteenth century, this action comedy follows the adventures of Ned Lynch, a bold pirate captain. When the oppressive Lord Durant seizes power in Jamaica and imprisons a local nobleman, the nobleman's daughter, Jane Barnet, seeks Lynch's help. Together with a crew of pirates and allies, they fight to rescue Jane's father, reclaim stolen wealth, and liberate the island from the governor's tyrannical rule.

Directed by James Goldstone, the film was released in 1976 and stands as the third project in his directorial timeline, following Winning and Brother John.
