Night Lunch

Night Lunch is a documentary that offers an amateur look at the music scene in New York. The film is composed of various clips featuring several rock artists performing live at a range of locations, including CBGB, Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden, and various small bars throughout Greenwich Village.

The project was co-directed by Ivan Král and Amos Poe. It served as the first collaboration between the two filmmakers and was shot on small-gauge film stock before Poe directed The Foreigner in 1978 and Frogs for Snakes in 1998. The production features appearances by musicians including David Bowie, Freddie Mercury, Elton John, George Harrison, Patti Smith, and Jayne County, all appearing as themselves.
