A Bad Moms Christmas

Amy, Kiki and Carla are three mothers worn down by the demands of Christmas. Each year the cooking, decorating and gift-buying fall to them, and each year the effort goes largely unappreciated. This time they agree to step back from the usual excess and mark the holiday in a simpler way with their families. Their plans change when their own mothers arrive for the visit, bringing criticism, strong personalities and a fresh round of expectations. The three women find themselves measuring themselves against the women who raised them while still trying to give their children a Christmas of their own.

Jon Lucas and Scott Moore directed and wrote the film, the third feature they directed together after 21 & Over and Bad Moms, and a direct follow-up to the 2016 comedy that introduced these characters. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn return as Amy, Kiki and Carla, with Christine Baranski, Susan Sarandon and Cheryl Hines joining as their mothers. Suzanne Todd produced, and the film was made for a budget of 28 million US dollars and took about 131 million US dollars worldwide, a return that made it a clear commercial success.

On IMDb, viewers rate it 5.6 out of 10 from roughly 62,000 votes, while on TMDB it holds 6.3 out of 10 from a much smaller body of around 2,200 votes. A critics' rating of 4.6 out of 10 from 128 reviews places it below both audience scores.
