The Raking

The Raking is a horror film centered on a group of college students working on an anthropology project. The students travel to Joshua Tree, California, with the intention of proving that a local urban legend is false. Despite warnings from people in the area and internal conflicts within the group, they continue their investigation, only to find themselves trapped within the terrifying story they sought to debunk.

The movie was directed by Bryan Brewer, who also co-wrote the screenplay and served as a producer. The cast features Cree Kelly, Allie Rivera, Thatcher Robinson, Marshal Hilton, and Marisa Davila, with Alan Maxson appearing as the titular creature. Produced by Lesson 1 Entertainment in the United States, the film has a runtime of 98 minutes.

Since its release in March 2017, the film has received generally poor reception from viewers. On IMDb, it holds a rating of 3.3/10 based on 1,500 votes, while on TMDB it has a slightly higher score of 4.6/10 from 20 votes.
