Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale

Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale follows Barbie Roberts, a successful actress whose career takes an unexpected turn. After a dispute on a film set and a phone call that appears to end her relationship with Ken, she travels to Paris to visit her aunt Millicent, who runs a fashion house. Barbie arrives to find the business on the verge of closing and already sold, and she sets out to rescue it. With the help of three magical fashion fairies, she encourages Alice, a shy designer, to create a fashion show that could turn things around.

The film is directed by William Lau, the seventh of fifteen films he directed in chronological order, arriving between Barbie and the Three Musketeers and Barbie: A Fairy Secret. Elise Allen wrote the screenplay, and the voice cast includes Diana Kaarina as Barbie, Adrian Petriw as Ken, Tabitha St. Germain as Alice, Patricia Drake as Aunt Millicent, and Alexa Devine and Shannon Chan-Kent as Jacqueline and Delphine. It was produced by Mattel and Evolution Films and runs seventy-nine minutes.

Released in 2010, the animated family film holds a rating of 6.6 out of 10 on IMDb from roughly 4,300 votes, while on TMDB it sits at 7.3 out of 10 from about 800 votes, indicating a generally positive response from viewers.
