Gemini Man

Gemini Man centres on Henry Brogan, a veteran government assassin who decides to retire after decades of killing. His plans collapse when he is hunted by a mysterious operative who anticipates his every move. Henry eventually learns that his pursuer is a younger clone of himself, raised in secret and trained to be faster and stronger, and that the man behind the programme is connected to his own former employers. Their confrontation becomes a personal duel between the original and the copy, while the clone begins to question who he really is. The film was directed by Ang Lee, the fourteenth of the fourteen features he has directed in chronological order, following Billy Lynn's Long Halftime Walk. Will Smith plays both Henry and the clone, with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, Benedict Wong, Douglas Hodge and Ralph Brown in supporting roles; the screenplay was written by David Benioff, Billy Ray and Darren Lemke, and Jerry Bruckheimer, Don Murphy and Dana Goldberg produced. Made for 140 million USD, it returned 173 million USD worldwide. On IMDb it holds 5.7/10 from 131,000 votes, and on TMDB 6.3/10 from 5,582 votes, while a critics' rating of 4.7/10 from 328 reviews places it below both audience scores.
