Tokyo Raiders

A private investigator, a young woman left at the altar in Las Vegas, and a stranger with formidable martial arts skills are drawn into a search that leads them from Nevada to Tokyo and Hong Kong. The man they are after, Macy's missing fiancé, has vanished amid debts and mob dealings, and several parties want to find him first. These include a yakuza figure, a wealthy businessman and the police, so the improvised team soon finds itself caught between rival criminal interests. As they close in, the investigators discover that not everyone travelling with them can be trusted.

Tokyo Raiders is a Hong Kong action comedy directed by Jingle Ma Choh-Sing and written by Susan Chan Suk-Yin and Felix Chong Man-keung, with Patricia Chong producing. It is the earliest of the three films directed by Jingle Ma listed here, preceding Mulan: Rise of a Warrior and Battle of the Wolf. Tony Leung Chiu-wai plays the detective Lin, Kelly Chen plays Macy, and Ekin Cheng Yee-Kin plays Yung, with Cecilia Cheung Pak-Chi, Toru Nakamura and Hiroshi Abe also in the cast.

The film runs 118 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.8 from around 2,700 votes, while on TMDB it has a rating of 5.6 from 79 votes, indicating a modest and limited response from viewers.
