Lynn is a top student who moves to an expensive high school where wealthy teenagers struggle to keep up with the demands of the curriculum. When she helps a close friend cheat on an exam, other classmates take notice and start offering money for the answers. Because her family has little money and her father is an ordinary schoolteacher, Lynn turns her academic talent into a business, building an increasingly elaborate method for passing correct answers to paying students. The operation grows into a full-scale exam-cheating enterprise, with a rich classmate acting as the go-between and another gifted student drawn into the scheme. The biggest job requires Lynn to travel abroad and deliver answers for an international test before it is given back home.
