A professional basketball coach facing personal crises and legal trouble is sentenced to community service. As part of his punishment, he must lead a team of players with intellectual disabilities. While he is initially reluctant, the experience becomes a personal lesson as he grows to appreciate his players and challenges his own perceptions of normality. The group eventually works toward competing in the national championships.
Directed by Javier Fesser, the film is the third in a chronological sequence of his directorial work, following Camino and Mortadelo & Filemon: Mission Implausible. The screenplay was written by David Marqués and stars Javier Gutiérrez as the coach, alongside Athenea Mata, Juan Margallo, José de Luna, Sergio Olmo, and Jesús Vidal. To maintain authenticity, the roles of the athletes were played by actors with disabilities.
Produced in Spain by companies including Universal Pictures and Morena Films, the movie had a budget of 5 million USD and earned 26 million USD at the worldwide box office. It has received generally positive feedback from viewers, holding a 7.2 rating on IMDb based on 13,000 votes and a 7.5 rating on TMDB from 789 votes. These audience scores are higher than the 6.5 rating provided by film critics based on 14 reviews.
