Palmer

After twelve years in prison, Eddie Palmer returns to his hometown to rebuild his life. A former high school football star, he moves back in with his grandmother and tries to keep to himself. That changes when he becomes close to Sam, a young boy from a troubled home who is treated as an outsider by those around him. The bond gives Eddie a sense of purpose and something like a family, but his criminal past and the people still connected to it threaten what he has started to build.

Palmer is a drama directed by Fisher Stevens, his fourth feature after Stand Up Guys, Mission Blue and Before the Flood. Cheryl Guerriero wrote the screenplay, and Charles B. Wessler, Sidney Kimmel and John Penotti produced. Justin Timberlake plays Eddie, with Ryder Allen as Sam. Juno Temple, Alisha Wainwright, June Squibb and Dean Winters appear in supporting roles, among a credited cast of twenty-four. The film runs 110 minutes and was made as a co-production between the United States and Luxembourg.
