The Dark

Mina is an undead teenager who haunts the remote woods where she was killed decades earlier. While hunting in the area, she finds Alex, a blind boy who has been kidnapped and abused, hidden in the car of one of her victims. Instead of killing him, Mina decides to let him live. This choice disrupts her solitary existence and leads the two to form a bond based on their shared history of trauma, prompting Mina to rediscover her lost sense of humanity.

Written and directed by Justin P. Lange, this Austrian production was the first of three films he directed, followed by The Seventh Day and The Visitor. The cast features Nadia Alexander as Mina and Toby Nichols as Alex, alongside Karl Markovics, Margarethe Tiesel, Dylan Trowbridge, and Chris Farquhar.
