Living in Bondage: Breaking Free follows Nnamdi Okeke, the son of Andy Okeke from the earlier Living in Bondage film. Restless and ambitious, Nnamdi wants a life far beyond what his circumstances can support. An encounter with a wealthy and mysterious businessman, Richard Williams, appears to open the door to that world, but his rise brings him into contact with occult forces that place him in serious danger.
The 2019 Nigerian drama and fantasy film runs 140 minutes and was produced by Michelangelo Productions. It marks the directorial debut of Ramsey Nouah, who also appears as Richard Williams, and continues the story first told in the 1992 film Living in Bondage. The cast includes Kanayo O. Kanayo as Chief Emeka Omego, Swanky J.K.A. as Nnamdi Okeke, Kenneth Okonkwo as Andy Okeke, Enyinna Nwigwe as Obinna Omego and Shawn Faqua as Toby Nworie.
On IMDb, the film holds a rating of 5.1 out of 10 from around 190 votes, a modest response from a small voting pool. That places it as a mixed reception for Nouah's first outing behind the camera.
