An elite Asian assassin named Yang flees to a remote town in the American Badlands after refusing an order to kill a child. The production had a budget of 45 million USD but earned 11 million USD at the worldwide box office. Audience reception is moderately positive, with a 6.3 rating on IMDb from 28,000 votes and a 6.6 rating on TMDB from 694 votes. What's left behind the scenes
- Initially, the film was titled "The Laundryman Warrior".
- The painting in the saloon is a parody of Édouard Manet's (1832-1883) "Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe" (1863) (which itself was a copy of Raimondi Marcantonio's engraving "The Judgement of Paris"), with the background replaced by an image of prairies, bison, and wigwams.
