Bad Samaritan

Sean Falco works as a valet at an upscale restaurant, and he and his friend Derek Sandoval use the job as cover for burglaries. While wealthy customers dine inside, the pair drive to their homes and rob them, returning before the meals are over. The arrangement holds until Sean enters a house and finds a woman being held captive inside, chained and badly treated. He leaves and contacts the authorities, but the homeowner, Cale Erendreich, is a respected figure in the community, and Sean's account is not believed. What follows is a struggle between the two thieves and a man whose public standing hides a violent side.

Dean Devlin directs from a screenplay by Brandon Boyce, with Devlin also producing alongside Marc Roskin and Rachel Olschan. It is Devlin's second feature as director, following Geostorm the previous year. David Tennant plays Cale Erendreich opposite Robert Sheehan as Sean Falco, with Kerry Condon as the captive Katie and Carlito Olivero as Derek Sandoval. Jacqueline Byers and Tracey Heggins also appear in the 29-strong credited cast.

Made for about 13 million dollars, the film returned roughly 5 million dollars worldwide, well below its production cost. On TMDB it holds a 6.7 rating from 793 votes. The film is a crime thriller that moves into horror territory as the confrontation escalates.
