The Blackwell Ghost

A filmmaker sets out to make a documentary proving that ghosts exist, but his project takes a turn when he becomes the target of a haunting himself. Staying in a house with a troubled history, he finds himself confronted by a presence connected to a dark past. The film presents itself as a genuine documentary containing footage said to have been captured on camera.

Turner Clay directed and wrote the film, and also appears on screen as himself, credited alongside a version of his own name; Terri Czapleski and Sonny Burnette also appear. It is an American independent horror production running just under an hour, and it arrived in 2017 as the second feature Clay directed, following State of Emergency in 2012 and preceding The Blackwell Ghost 8 in 2024.

The much larger vote count on IMDb, paired with a similar average, indicates a small but reasonably consistent viewer base rather than a widely seen release.
