Louis Fugain finds a dead man outside his apartment building and contacts the police. What follows is a long night at the station, where Commissioner Buron treats the man who reported the body as his prime suspect. The interrogation runs late, the questions grow increasingly strange, and Fugain, tired and hungry, struggles to convince an officer who seems to operate by his own logic that he had nothing to do with the death. A one-eyed policeman, Philippe, and his wife Fiona are among the figures who pass through the station during the night.
Quentin Dupieux wrote and directed the film, which sits sixth among the sixteen features he has directed, between Reality and Deerskin. Benoît Poelvoorde plays Buron and Grégoire Ludig plays Fugain, with Anaïs Demoustier, Philippe Duquesne, Monsieur Fraize and Jacky Lambert in supporting roles. The film runs seventy-three minutes.
On IMDb it holds a rating of 6.7/10 from 655 votes, while a critics' rating stands at 7.3/10 from 44 reviews, so reviewers rated it somewhat higher than the wider audience did.
