Curvature

Helen is grieving the death of her husband Wells, a scientist who took his own life just as he was close to completing a time machine. After the loss, she is approached by his colleague Tomas, who says the two men had cracked the code for travelling through time. Then Helen receives a phone call from a voice that sounds uncannily like her own, warning her that she is in danger. The film is a science fiction thriller that builds its mystery around that call and around how Helen, an engineer at a technology company, might be connected to it.

Curvature was released in 2017 and runs 90 minutes. It is the first film directed by Diego Hallivis, who also produced it with Julio Hallivis and later went on to direct American Carnage in 2022. Brian DeLeeuw wrote the screenplay. Lyndsy Fonseca plays Helen, with Linda Hamilton as Florence, Glenn Morshower as Tomas, Noah Bean as Wells, Alex Lanipekun as Kraviz and Zach Avery as Alex.

The film drew little enthusiasm from audiences. On IMDb it holds a rating of 4.7 from around 3,300 votes, and on TMDB a rating of 4.9 from 86 votes. Critics were slightly more positive: a critics' rating of 5.3 from 16 reviews sits a little above the audience scores, though both remain low.
