The Brawler

Based on a true story, this historical drama follows Chuck Wepner, an overlooked boxer from New Jersey. In 1975, Wepner unexpectedly earns the opportunity to fight the world heavyweight champion, Muhammad Ali. The story tracks his journey from struggling in the ring to facing a legendary opponent, while also exploring the personal volatility and hardships that marked his life.

Directed by Ken Kushner, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Robert Dibella, the film stars Zach McGowan in the lead role. The cast includes Amy Smart, Taryn Manning, and Burt Young.
