Short description
The story centers on the reopening of Creedmore prison after several decades of closure. The facility is managed by Warden Eaton Sharpe, whose harsh methods clash with the goals of officer Katherine Walker. During a work assignment, inmates break through a wall into an old execution chamber, accidentally releasing the vengeful spirit of Charles Forsyth. Forsyth, who was executed by electric chair for a crime he did not commit, begins killing guards and prisoners in his attempt to get revenge on Sharpe.
Directed by Renny Harlin, this film is the second of 28 in the director's career, following Born American and preceding A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. Produced by Empire Pictures with a budget of 4 million USD, the movie stars Viggo Mortensen, Chelsea Field, and Lane Smith.

- Filming wrapped in 1986, but due to the bankruptcy of Empire International Pictures, it was released only in 1988.
