Short description

Set in the deserted village of Caulonia in Calabria, this drama follows the connection between an elderly farmer and a young woman. While the man finds friendship in her company, her own family believes she is possessed. The story reflects on a dying town where most inhabitants have emigrated to distant cities, leaving behind only a few hundred people to tell the history of those who left.

Written and directed by Michelangelo Frammartino, this was the first of three films he directed, preceding The Four Times and Il Buco. The production was handled by Santamira Produzioni and Coop. Ca.Ri.Na. The cast is led by Angelo Frammartino as the old man and Gabriella Maiolo as the girl, supported by a credited cast of 33 people.

The film has received generally positive responses from viewers. It holds a rating of 6.8/10 on IMDb based on 296 votes and a 6.4/10 on TMDB from 19 votes.
