Nino Arisugawa spent her childhood facing painful separations from two close friends: her first love, Momo Sakaki, and a composer named Kanade Yuzuriha. Both boys promised that Nino's singing voice would serve as a beacon to bring them back together. For years, she sang to the ocean while wearing a mask, hoping to be found. When she eventually enters high school, Nino reunites with Yuzu, who wishes for her to join his band, while Momo remains distant despite continuing to write music for her.
Directed by Koichiro Miki, this film followed his 2017 project Revenge Girl in his professional timeline. The screenplay was written by Miki and Rie Yokota. The main cast features Ayami Nakajo as Nino Arisugawa, Jun Shison as Kanade Yuzuriha, and Yuta Koseki as Momo Sakaki, alongside Erina Mano, Hayato Isomura, and Yosuke Sugino.
The Japanese production was a collaboration between Pony Canyon, Shochiku, Sony Music Entertainment, and GYAO. Viewers have responded positively to the movie, which holds a 7.7 rating on TMDB from 27 votes and a 6.4 rating on IMDb based on 94 votes.
