Queens Logic is a comedy drama set in the New York borough of Queens, where a group of childhood friends reunite for a weekend. The occasion is the wedding of Ray, a painter who dreams of working on frescoes in Italy, to Patricia, a hairdresser rooted in the old neighbourhood. Ray begins to have doubts about whether he wants to go through with the marriage at all, while his friend Al, the group's ringleader, has his own troubles: his wife Carla is considering a divorce, largely because of his interest in younger women. Over the course of a turbulent few days, the friends confront adulthood, loyalty and the ties that still bind them to one another.
The film was directed by Steve Rash, its release following Can't Buy Me Love (1987) and preceding Son in Law (1993) in his filmography. Tony Spiridakis wrote the screenplay, and Russell Smith and Stuart Oken produced. The ensemble cast includes Kevin Bacon as Dennis, Jamie Lee Curtis as Grace, Linda Fiorentino as Carla, John Malkovich as Eliot, Joe Mantegna as Al and Ken Olin as Ray, among 32 credited performers. Made by Carolco Pictures and Seven Arts Pictures on a budget of 12 million dollars, it runs 114 minutes and received an R rating in the United States.
On IMDb it holds a rating of 5.7 from around 2,000 votes, while on TMDB it stands at 5.8 from a much smaller pool of roughly 40 votes. Both figures place the film in modest territory with viewers.
