The Wolf House is a stop-motion animated film from Chile and Germany, directed by Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña, who also wrote the screenplay with Alejandra Moffat. It follows María, a young woman who flees a German religious colony in southern Chile after a punishment is threatened. She takes shelter in an isolated house in the woods, where two pigs are the only other inhabitants. The house responds to her fears and desires, shifting and transforming around her, while the pigs gradually take on human form as figures named Pedro and Ana. The colony she escaped presents itself as charitable, though accounts of it suggest otherwise.
The film is the second feature credited to both directors, following Luis in 2008, and precedes The Hyperboreans and Donkey Princess in their filmography. Its voice cast includes Amalia Kassai as María, Ana and Pedro, and Rainer Krause as the Wolf, with an introduction performed by Karina Hyland, Carlos Cociña, Natalia Geisse and Javiera Ramirez. Niles Atallah and Catalina Vergara produced.
The Wolf House runs 74 minutes. On IMDb it holds a rating of 7.5 from around 5,900 votes, and on TMDB it also scores 7.5, from roughly 200 votes. A critics' rating of 7.9 from 54 reviews places it slightly above both audience scores.
